On behalf of everyone at Appdome, we want to wish all of our visitors, readers, prospects, customers, investors, advisors, partners and other supporters a wonderful holiday and even better new year.
This past year, 2020, has been a challenging and tragic one for the world. We cannot express enough our care and condolences to those that suffered, are suffering, and will continue to suffer because of Covid-19. We are immensely grateful that we have been able to keep our employees safe and free of Covid-19. At the same time, we know of others at our customers and partners that have been impacted directly by the pandemic. We share in the rejoice that vaccines are now making their way to the world population. We hope that 2021 is the year we can declare the pandemic at an end.
We want to recognize that, overnight, all of us had to adjust to a new way of working and living. To stay safe, we were forced to rely exclusively on mobile and digital applications to communicate, collaborate, transact, entertain, and work with each other. As a result, 2020 brought with it an explosion of change, innovation and new threats to work and employees as well as commerce and consumers. Like the universal “Big Bang,” the patterns of change are just beginning. Still, we’ve shown our best selves and already set the stage for an amazing global economic recovery we look forward to in 2021.
On the work front, the flexibility, adaptability, and humanity that emerged in our working relationships was truly heartwarming. Thank you to those who, through Zoom and Microsoft Teams, opened a window into yourselves and your lives. Thank you too for allowing us to do the same, sharing our families, messy homes, fun backgrounds, cat-bombs, dogs, and loudness with you. None of us was “ready,” but we made it work. And, we found ways to laugh, learn from one another, share, and build friendships while we worked. For that, we thank you and feel closer to you.
As a global economy, 2020 advanced the role of mobile applications more than ever. Our customers experienced a sea-change in the way their customers and workforce views mobile applications. Mobile applications are now center stage in the world economy. More than ever, we are proud of our role in protecting the global population and global economy. This year, we hit tremendous new heights in terms of customer growth, including exponential growth in the number of mobile apps and millions of end users protected by Appdome. For that too, we thank you.
As we look forward into 2021, our mission has not changed. We still want to secure every mobile app in the world. Of course, that means we must continue to innovate and solve the toughest mobile security challenges. We expect to continue to invest in advanced protections to the broadest, newest, and most sophisticated threats, expanding our dev-options and tools, new investments in threat intelligence and no-code SDK delivery, all to remain the industry’s choice for securing mobile apps, 1-by-1 or at scale. We also want to continue to be a friend to the developer, security professional, partner, customer, employee and investor. In doing so, we’ll build a brighter, better and bolder security solution for our customers, mobile apps and the people that rely on them.
