Would you believe it that it has only been a couple of months since the Appdome platform was officially GA (in February) Today, we added even more new innovations to address leading challenges in enterprise mobility. We’re excited to introduce new features that add support for hybrid apps and app customization. Most of them came from customers doing real work on the platform. In that way, these features solve real needs face by mobile enterprises everywhere.
Here’s a snapshot of what’s new on Appdome today:
- Enhanced EMM VoIP and Video App Support: Building on Appdome’s earlier release on its Dynamic App Routing infrastructure, customers will be able to leverage enhanced voice and video handling to successfully integrate communication apps with EMM services. Prior to Appdome, VoIP and Video apps have been incredibly difficult to use with EMM, yet vital for organizations looking to enhance productivity and connectivity with their workforces. Now, Appdome enables VoIP and video apps to work seamlessly with EMM services.
- Hybrid App Asset Encryption: All an app’s assets (HTML, jpg, png files) can now be fully encrypted in the AppFusion process as Appdome extends its asset encryption to include all types of Hybrid apps, like Cordova, PhoneGap, Ionic, etc. That means enterprise customers have more encryption options covering more app types needed for their users.
- Advanced Protections for every integration: Appdome now secures every integration of services and 3rd party SDKs with a multi-layered Advanced App Protection. This includes code obfuscation, anti-tampering, sealing and anti-debugging for free. By the way, this comes standard with every integration completed on Appdome.
- App customizations: Appdome for App Publishers now allows enterprise customers to customize apps as they perform integrations on the Appdome platform. App customizations include app icons, display names, bundle IDs and customized URLs. This is perfect for enterprise users that want to create branded experiences with ISV apps for their mobile users.
One of the reasons why I love these latest innovations is the multiplier effect it has for Appdome customers and the apps they deploy. These new enhancements don’t just solve difficult issues in mobile integration, mobile security, and diagnostics for one customer. By adding these functionalities to the Appdome platform, they can all be used by any customer as part of any app integration project.
